As you can see, our Club gives a high priority to protecting Social Security and Medicare for all of our senior citizens and other recipients. After all, it is our present Senior Citizens who defeated the Fascists in the Second World War -- saving our Democracy -- and who built our country up from the depths of the Depression to becoming the richest country on Earth! They do not deserve to be treated as worthless because they are no longer productive, nor to be the prey of swindlers because their memories aren't quite as sharp as they were. We thank President Clinton for vetoing legislation from the present Congress that would have accomplished both of those meanspirited goals. And we thank the voters of California for rejecting Propositions that would have limited liability for swindlers in our Great State.
