* Unfortunately, CDP Chair Art Torres did not attend this function.
His attendance had been arranged with one of his relatives and
he had never agreed to attend personally. Some overzealous
detractors leafleted the mall parking lot -- including a number
of automobiles of citizens who weren't attending the
Democratic fund raiser -- to needlessly remind them
that former Senator Torres had not appeared.
We had thought that only Orange County Democrats
behaved in that manner.
